It can be said that crafts are one of my favorite things. I might not be good at it, but I love the stories behind every craft work, about the creators, the artisans, the process, the materials. For me craftsmanship is some kind of a journey, and the journey at Alexander Lamont Sunday Salon was obviously a delighted one.
Being a journalist, I have known the brand Alexander Lamont for quite a long time. This international brand was founded in Thailand by Alexander Lamont, a British-born man who used to be an antique dealer. Blending his extensive craft knowledge with the hands of Thai artisans, the brand Alexander Lamont has become globally recognised as an interior design brand with sophisticated high-quality products. Fused with Art Deco inspirations, the works here exude the air of timeless elegance.
Although the brand is well-known internationally, Alexander Lamont is trying to make itself recognized more in Thailand, and one strategy is the freshly-introduced Sunday Salon activity where guests and clients in Thailand are invited to get to know more about the brand’s concepts and products through craft demonstrations and workshops. And as far as I know it really works. Most guests refused to leave and hung around until late. So I guess the next one would be much more anticipated 🙂
Alexander Lamont Flagship Store is located on the 1st Floor of Gaysorn Village.
