I can say that this is one of my most favorite exhibitions of the year, and most long-awaited one.
Thanks to my job, I have known some members of this art collective quite some time. Some parts of the works were shown before in Switzerland, but at the end of the day it’s good to have a chance to see all the works here in Thailand.
It’s funny how the idea of this so-analog exhibition came from an application. After sending so many digital messages, this group of former art students (who are now in their 60s) decided to send out some envelopes to each other and draw whatever they like. From Thai friends, other artist friends from other countries joined in. So some envelopes travelled across the world, from Thailand to the States and Switzerland.
Par Avion/ Air Mail Contemporary art exhibition is on view at the National Gallery, Chao Fa road until 28 December. If you love travel and postcards, this one is not to be missed 🙂
