A real treat at Wara Cheeva Spa at Four Seasons Chiang Mai

Like you might know, I’m a spa person. And a perk of living in Thailand is that there are so many spas to try. And in my latest trip to Chiang Mai I had a chance to visit this beautiful Wara Cheeva Spa located in Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai.

Formally known as The Spa at Four Seasons Chiang Mai, the award-winning Wara Cheeva Spa is located in a residence within the resort compound. The concept is based on the holistic approach of well-being, combining the Eastern, Western and local philosophies together to promote physical, emotional, social and nutritive well-beings.

One of the highlighted treatments is the Rice and Spice Scrub with the scrub which uses the Thai jasmine rice with local spices as the exfoliating scrub. But as for myself who prefer massage, I chose the Oriental Blend Massage treatment that uses the Phlai (bengal root or Zingiber Cassumunar) oil to loosen up the muscles, which is great. In Thailand, Phlai is a therapeutic herb that not only helps release muscle tensions but also a sacred herb that helps ward off evil, but for me the first benefit was more than enough.

They have around 7 treatment rooms which are too spacious (everything looks really big here). Using red as the color for the treatment rooms is quite uncanny, but when coming out to see the greenery at the balcony, it was really really relaxing.
