I didn’t know when it started, but for many years I have turned into a dedicated spa person. Blame it on the the millennial stereotype (experience-oriented) and office syndrome and aromatic buff, spas are my go-to places when I need to unwind, and I’m so blessed to live in Thailand where spas can be found everywhere.
My current favorite? I have to say Erb Spa near Warehouse 30, Charoen Krung. I have been a fan of Erb, a Thai spa and ‘Fleurfume’ brand (which is now shifting to skincare as well), and I’m glad that they finally opened their own spa. Compact in size, Erb Spa features feminine floral design created by local designer Korakot Aromdee. There are foot massage, body massage, crystal healings and many skin treatments available. I tried the Thai massage and was impressed (time and budget wise for a branded spa) with the result with this quick little escape from Bangkok’s hustle bustle.
One drawback is Charoen Krung is not quite a place where you can “drop by” easily. But if you happen to be there for sightseeing by the Chaopraya river and doesn’t want to eat or drink anything anymore or looking for foor massage in a very relaxing ambiance, this is the place I recommend. It is located at the entrance of Warehouse 30, near Royal Orchid Sheraton and River City.
