Mandalay Before Election

In short, today is a big day in Thailand, as we are having the first election after many years under the military dictatorship. The excitements of my fellow Thais remind me of my first trip to Mandalay in 2015. That was not long before Myanmar’s historic general election and Aung San Suu Kyi’s portraits are everywhere. She actually won it eventually. But, so it goes, you know.

Honestly, I don’t know what to expect for Thailand as of now.

Not sure what’s gonna happen, but it least it’s not wrong to hope for the better, right?
