Since I started working as a writer on art and culture, the name of Valerie Goutard has been a household name that came up a lot during conversations. This works of this Thailand-based French artist are unique in the way she focused on the humanistic view of life. Her works always touch my heart thanks to their minimalistic forms with heartfelt basic emotions, the art that can be accessed by everyone.
Although it is so sad that last month the artist passed away in a car accident, but I’m sure her works live on. These are the latest series that she worked on her last solo exhibition at REDSEA Gallery Singapore, which runs until 18 December.
